Although the equipment and avalanche safety gear are not included in your package, you can rent them from us if you like.

Good to Know

• If you fly to Akureyri airport, please remember that Keflavík international airport is about 45min - 1 hour away from the Reykjavík domestic airport (from where do you fly to Akureyri). You can get to Reykjavík via taxi or bus or book our private shuttle.
  It’s good to bear in mind to have some spare time for travelling in between places.
• If you fly to us from Europe, please note that a new airline Niceair flies from Copenhagen directly to Akureyri and back. Although these are not daily flights, it might be a great way for you to get to us faster.
• For guests flying from Reykjavík to Akureyri with Icelandair, we want kindly ask you to book flight FI036 (lunchtime) or flight FI050 (evening time) for your arrival. If you cannot book any of these two flights because your arrival time in Iceland is different, book another flight and please let us know your arrival time via email at info@scandicguides.com.
• On your departure day, we recommend you book the last flight from Akureyri to Reykjavík FI051 (the departure day is still your skiing day).
• Each guest needs to bring their own ski/snowboard boots. We recommend that they are not brand new.
• The package doesn’t include the cancellation and/or injury insurance. We recommend booking the insurance for cancellation and/or injury via the insurance company we trust, Global Rescue.

What to Pack

• Pair of ski boots that fit well (not brand new)
• Skis/splitboard with touring bindings, skins and ski poles
• Backpack 30-50 liters
• Ski crampons – optional
• Avalanche transceiver, a probe and a shovel (if you don’t have avalanche gear, you can rent it from us)
• Waterproof or water-resistant outerwear
• Thermo clothing
• Light fleece jacket (ideal for layering)
• Wind stopper vest or a jacket (ideal to use during lunchtime)
• Compact down jacket
• Two pairs of ski gloves or mittens
• Two beanies (1 for colder days and 1 for warmer days)
• Ski socks (2-3 pairs)
• Swimsuits
• Ski goggles
• Sunglasses
• Water bottles
• Sunscreen and Lip Protection
