DETAILS
Scandic Mountain Guides offers Ski Touring trips in Iceland from beginning of March until end of May every year. Our skiing area in Iceland, the Troll Peninsula, has endless options to offer for ski touring, where you can ski from the mountain peak all the way to the Arctic Ocean. In terms of ski touring, there are few places in the world with as many possibilities as the Troll Peninsula in Iceland. The area is vast and largely unexplored.
The terrain has a lot of different options, from steep couloirs to easy and moderate slopes. It is also possible to traverse over to the next fjords and ski down to the coast line or into the small valleys, where you will find untouched snow and probably make the first descent in that run.
Prepare for different skiing conditions; fresh powder skiing, skiing in the stable spring corn snow, which is perfect for steep and extreme skiing and more exposed lines than you normally find where avalanches are more likely. Our vertical drop is up to 1.500m or approximately 4.500 ft. in the unbelievable Arctic mountains.
At Scandic Ski touring Lodge the meals are not included, but in the Lodge is a kitchen where the group will prepare their own meals.

HOW TO BOOK
- Read through our programs and decide on which dates suit you.
- Please send us requests about availability in the Booking Request form.
- We will reply to confirm on the dates that you requested or assist you in finding other suitable dates in case of unavailability.
- When you´ve received your confirmation about available dates, fill out our registration form and send it to info@scandicguides.com
- We will send you an invoice with transfer details so that you can finish your deposit payment or call us to pay with Credit card (+2%). To secure your seat we require a deposit of 1.000 EUR. Our preferred method is by Bank Transfer.
- Once your deposit is received, we will send you confirmation.
- The final Payment is due 10 weeks prior to your tour or February 1st, whichever comes first.
- Make sure you have read our Terms and Conditions before booking your package.
- Purchase Travel Insurance. We recommend Global Rescue as our trustable partner.
